Winter, winter go away...

So far winter this year has been short and sweet.  After missing the first real snow with Katie in the hospital and the other kids being sick; the Sanofsky family was getting nervous that there would be no real sledding this winter.  But Connecticut did not let us down.  February brought some delayed starts and early releases and SNOW.  Our house backs to a golf course with some pretty fantastic sledding hills.  On the weekends and afternoons you could find us sneaking under the fence and on to the golf course.

One weekend the girls and I went with a group of friends from church to see the New York Ballet.  It was the coldest day of the winter.  We took the train in with a friend and then took the subway to the Lincoln Center to meet everyone else.

After the show, our group tried to go to lunch together, but with 22 of us none of the nearby places had room.  It was so cold we couldn't be outside long enough to walk  anywhere else.  Us train goers decided to head back to Grand Central and enjoy a feast at Shake Shack, there were no complaints!

While we were gone the boys had a fantastic time without us drinking soda, eating pizza and playing floor hockey in the basement.

As always, for Winter Break we went to visit Bethany.  This year, Hannah was visiting as well.  We made Hannah stop by Cafe Rio on her drive in.
Isabel and Zane

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at "our" hotel.  For the kids, the highlight is always the hotel breakfast.  For two days I let go of all real food craziness and let the kids choose what they want to eat.  Breakfast consisted of bowels of sugar cereal and yogurt, donuts, waffles, eggs and bacon.  We spent hours in the pool every day.

To break up the breakfast and swimming we stopped by the local science museum for a few hours.

And of course we hung out at Bethany's so we could get in our quality time in with Rufio.

What are we going to do next year when B & E live in Charleston and we have no one to hang out with on February break!

On a brighter note...it is getting warmer outside and I don't need to think about it for a while.
