The reunion...

The kids have been missing Rufio since he went to live with B&E.  But then the greatest thing happened---Eric got into graduate school 4 hours from here!  As soon as our school was out we jumped in the car to go see Rufio (and B&E as well).

We called Bethany when we arrived and she brought Rufio outside to greet the kids.  The reunion was 'oh so great'!  Rufio was as excited to see them as they were to see him; he greeted each one of us individually, there might have been some jumping and licking involved.

We spent a fantastic weekend getting to know State Collage, PA.  We played in the cornfield behind B&E's house,

we went on on a great hike,

Two of my boys... you can get a little idea of how awesome they are together.

we toured campus and ate yummy ice cream, we spent some time in the downtown area and ate yummy treats at the farmers market.
Such a great time,

we'll be back soon!

The end of the school year in a blur...

In an effort to feel a little more settled here in Stamford, Jax and I joined a playgroup at the local church.  We made some really fun friends there. One week they had the fire department come.  Jax was so excited!

Literacy day was an exciting day in our house.  Addy dressed up as Splat the Cat, Marcus was a pirate from his favorite pirate book.

And Katie was Laura Ingalls.
Marcus' teacher invited me to be a surprise guest in their classroom.  I brought one of our favorite books to read to the kids; "Most Loved Monster".  It is always so much fun to go into their classrooms.  All the boys in the classroom asked me if they could come play at our house.

Next came field day.  Marcus and Addy had field day on Monday.

Brandon and Addy-he is one of Addy's closet friends.  He uses sign language half the time and Addy has learned so much, it is amazing to see what she knows.

Jax had way to much fun.
Marcus was so proud that he threw the frisbee the furthest.
Jax and I ventured back to school on Wed for Katie's field day.

Crazy trio-Lexy, Jasmine and Katie
Marcus played baseball this Spring.  He was pretty scared of the ball and most the games got rained out but we were able to bribe him to hit the ball by the last few games.  Mark was able to help coach a little at the end of the season.

Dyan and Marcus-Dylan is one of Marcus' best buddies from school
Finally the end of the year parties.  There were moving-up ceremonies for Marcus and Addy.

Marcus' teachers-Ms. Hair, Miss. Jenn and Ms. Micianga

Addy and her bestie Ann
Katie got permission to go to the parties and was there eating by the time Mark and I showed up.

Addy had her end of the year dance recital.  She did AMAZING!

Katie and I picked up flowers for Addy before the recital.  Katie was really excited to give them to Addy.  Addy's face was priceless when Katie gave her the flowers.  She put them in water as soon as she got home, and put them on her dresser.  She told me that they would never die because she was going to keep them watered.  She was pretty upset to find out that would not make a difference.

We celebrated father's day.  We are so thankful to have Mark.

And finally, the last day of school.

Marcus had the best teacher I could have asked for.  She was perfect for him this year.

We did a class gift for Marcus' teachers but he insisted on making Ms. Jess raisin bread for her son.

And principle awards

Ms. Dougherty and Addy--Addy is lucky enough that her teacher is moving to the 1st grade next year so she will have her again!
